About the Author

Shivanandan was born on 28th July 1956 in Edakkad, Kannur district, Kerala. He studied at the British Public School, formerly King George Royal Indian Military College, later known as Bangalore Military School. He built a diverse career with multinational companies such as Mettur Beardsell and Bakelite Hylam in India, and spent seven years in Singapore as Marketing Director for a German firm. He also consulted for American, Canadian, and Malaysian companies in the Indian market.

A decade in China working in fiberglass and thermal insulation left a lasting impact, inspiring him to write about his life and travels there. Returning to Kerala in 2012, he chose to retire in his hometown, carrying with him a wealth of global experiences.
